This four session, in-person workshop series brings together founders who have launched AI products, with researchers at the frontier of AI. During the workshop they will share what they are working on, the problems they are trying to address and future trends that are on their radar.
When?
| 01 | Thursday 28 May 2026 | 5pm – 7pm|
| 02 | Thursday 11 June 2026 | 5pm – 7pm |
| 03 | Thursday 25 June 2026 | 5pm – 7pm |
| 04 | Thursday 9 July 2026 | 5pm – 7pm |
Who are they for?
Places are limited. We are looking for a small, committed cohort who can make the four in-person only sessions:
Researchers & academics - Open to all career stages, including postdoctoral researchers and PhD students. If you are interested in commercialisation and how your work might land in the world, this is the place.
Founders - founders who have launched AI products that generate revenue who can talk in depth about the underlying machine learning models and technical nuances behind a product
Where?
Every session is in person at the UCL Centre for AI in Holborn, central London. If you are a Gen AI hub investigator or post doc, we can arrange travel so please tell us in the sign-up form whether you would like our help with this.
If you are from another AI Hub, CDT or funded project, you may be able to get travel organised and funded by your own project.
How each session runs
Participant led: No tutorials. No curriculum. Every session is shaped by technical founders and researchers and their specific experiences
This will be a "pitch free" workshop, no specific product idea needed to take part
Fortnightly sessions: over eight weeks, small group sessions. Enough time to build genuine intellectual connection
Social by design: every session is followed with time to continue the conversation informally
We welcome academics at all stages of their career. You should be able to commit to all four sessions, which will be delivered at a venue in central London. Each session runs from 5pm–7pm, followed by a social.
Who’s organising these sessions?
The workshop is a collaboration between the AI Hub in Generative Models, UCL Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Martin Goodson (Evolution AI) and Magda Woods (And The Robots).
