I am a Research Fellow at the Gatsby Institute, UCL, working with Arthur Gretton and Jason Hartford.

My current research focuses on applying causal methods to biological systems. Biologists are interested in understanding causal mechanisms from data, both as a scientific goal and to predict the effects of perturbations. However, classical causal methods are often not well suited to high-dimensional, unstructured, and noisy biological data. My research aims to help close this gap.

More broadly, I am interested in Bayesian approaches to causality, particularly methods for predicting the effects of interventions in complex systems with limited prior causal knowledge. I am also interested in using uncertainty over causal structure to guide experimental design.
